Remote Learning Tools
Emergency Webinar for Teachers
In March 2020, due to the pandemic, my school was thrust into remote learning with little preparation. We all did our best. While many of my colleagues and fellow teachers hoped that things would be different come fall, I spent the summer preparing. I built a home office in my basement and explored best practices for online teaching and pedagogy. As we entered August and the final push before school started, I realized that most of my colleagues were desperately underprepared for the coming year. On my own time, I prepared this slide show and held two training sessions to help my fellow teachers better transition to a year of remote teaching.
The slide show and video are a bit rough. Both demonstrate where we were in that moment and how I embraced the situation as best I could and did what I could to support my colleagues.
