Alison Hurley

I've had the pleasure of working with Kris as a colleague at Oakland School for the Arts for many years.

While we worked in different departments, we did collaborate in Professional Development, meetings, and on certain projects, and I could always sense Kris' passion for teaching, improving student outcomes, and improving working conditions.

Kris' enthusiasm for dissecting student data and her ability to communicate and transform graphs, pie charts, and data into the tangible, actionable, living, breathing information about real people/students was impressive and infectious.

I have also been impressed by Kris' leadership and willingness to help and support fellow colleagues.

Kris' energy and efforts indicate that she gets that an organization works best when it is operating on all cylinders, in all areas, and she is willing to advocate for excellence in all areas, for all stakeholders.
